Stockable Custom Fields - not on drop down menu

I have just installed the stockable custom fields plug-in (am using 3.6.2 joomla, 3.0.64 virtuemart).  When I go to create my stockable custom field, the "custom field" is not visible on the virtuemart drop down.  I have checked that the plug-in is enabled.  Have no idea why this is not working.  has anybody had a similar problem - and yes am very new to this.  thanks in advance

Hello

Your website is vulnerable, update to Joomla 3.6.5 and VM3.0.20. Do not test on a live site. You should do a update as soon as possible on a backup copy first. You should also check that You don´t have any new users with super user priviligies. Then You could already have been hacked.

stockable custom fields plug-in

exactly what plugin are u refering to?

the old VM2 stockable custom fields plug-in doesn't work at all on VM3

Ok, that will explain it - if the plug-in does not work. Just updated reloaded etc and I still cannot add a custom field for children products.  if that makes sense. Have a stone apron and the "child" would be the navy product. but when I come to the custom field, there is not drop down or a "new" button.  Any suggestions? tks

Found my mistake and I am blushing, because it is so obvious. Lets hope it will do what I want it to do, otherwise back to the drawing board.  thank you

If u want to have the stock of the different colours considered then normally you would use parent->child products

if u don't care about stock then a simple cart custom field is enough
