Help with missing Products after import or manual creation

Running Joomla! 3.6.5, VirtueMart 3.0.18.2

Having a strange issue where we have products that will not show until at least 4 products are built.

To demonstrate i have created a test domain here ( https://cluster1050.extendcp.uk/rbdnew.co.uk/ )and manually created 4 virtuemart product entries to show under the category "Childrens Novelty Aqua Buddy Bins"

After creating manual product 1 nothing shown under Childrens Novelty Aqua Buddy Bins category (but does show in "Latest Products" section)
After creating manual product 2 nothing shown under Childrens Novelty Aqua Buddy Bins category (but does show in "Latest Products" section)
After creating manual product 3 nothing shown under Childrens Novelty Aqua Buddy Bins category (but does show in "Latest Products" section)
After creating manual product 4, product 1 shows under Childrens Novelty Aqua Buddy Bins category (and also shows as product 4 in "Latest Products" section)

A quick glimpse at this test space and you will see what i mean.

It is like a 3 product lag. This happens when manually creating items or using a csvi importer.

Any pointers would be gratefully received as running out of ideas what to check.

Have checked language settings and all set as English (en-GB)

There may have been a bug in that version, which was a testing version for experienced users.  VM3.0.18.3 was released just 7 days later. I suggest that you try the current release VM3.0.19.5 on a test site to see if your issue is fixed. There have been a lot of changes since 3.0.18.2
