payments plugin doesnt update

Hello i recive this update alert but they doesn't resolves.
I tryed to update it manually by ftp but joomla still ask for update.
On joomla Joomla! 3.6.5

The provided sollutions do not seem to solve the issue. The problem lies somewhere else. The Joomla updater shows old version info. I checked the files via ftp and the version is:

    <name>VM Payment - klikandpay</name>
    <creationDate>January 15 2017</creationDate>
    <version>3.0.18.9</version>

Is this a core Joomla problem. This similar problem is not the first time I see this with other plugins as well.

I am seeing the same issue on my site, one plugin continues to show beta even with 3.0.18 AIO installed.

That same extension is disabled as well, yet still wants to be "updated" by the updater.

Can someone explain how to correct this. I can't stand seeing something wanted to be updated when A) there is no need B) it is a system malfunction.

Worked for my site and solved this issue.

If this is a working fix, I hope it is stable and why is it not the main download on the front page website for people to update and solve this particular issue?

Installing the files from that package gives you the updated xml files etc. It is not linked to the virtuemart.net download link as it is not considered completely finished, the released stable version will be 3.0.20 (probably).
