User ID Number Question

Good morning all;

I'm working on an older VirtueMart installation (VM2) and had a question on user ID numbers.

In the order history table there is a field for created_by which contains the user ID for order actions like Pending, Confirmed & Shipped.

There are records showing up in the virtuemart_order_histories table that show the original order has been deleted with 0 in the created_by field. Any idea who that might be, is that VirtueMart itself?
