Hello,

I'm developing a shopping cart as a homework for an institute. The final product should be a sportstore.
I'm using the last version of virtuemart under JoomlArt's Ja_megastore.

As requirements, the store must have a menu that display productos by some categories like:

  • Women
  • Men
  • Children
  • Shoes

    • Women
    • Men
    • Children
  • Socks

    • Women
    • Men
    • Children
  • T-shirts

    • Women
    • Men
    • Children

    etc.

As you can see, shoes, socks and t-shirts have three sub-categories: women, men and children.
Men, Women and children categories have to display, for example, if Men is selected, all the products for men.

I have created this categories on VirtueMart. The problem is that i don't see an option to select multiple categories in the module "VirtueMart => Category Layout", for example, i can't display productos by Shoes and Men category, only shoes or men, just one of them. Is there a way?

Thanks

Atm it is not possible with the module. But for your menu links you can specify multiple categories.

uhm, he can do that with vm3.0.18.5 misusing the manufacturer
Should I fix your bug, please support the VirtueMart project and become a member

I suggest using custom fields and a filtering solution.
Using categories for all the attributes of a product is not the most friendly solution both for the user and the admin
