Help Please - Multiple distributers for payments - I'm New to VM

Hello,
I am new to VM. Is there a way that when a customer purchases a product the distributors can each get paid. See example.

On my site I would sell 3 types of items each from a different distributor.

Distributor 1 - gets paid for their toys
Distributor 2 - gets paid for their clothing
Distributor 3 - gets paid for garden tools.

At the end of the day each one gets paid but via invoice or Paypal, Authorize.net.

Is this payment directly from shopper to supplier or from you to supplier?

It would be from Me to supplier. Customers would log in and pay for the items then an invoice gets sent to each supplier.

then this isn't really a function of a shopping cart software..

You basically need a daily report of confirmed sales from VM separated into manufacturers (distributors) and you pay them through what ever means you have.
Everything thing is code-able but this isn't part of VM or any other cart I know of.. this is your back office.

I think you are correct a marketplace functionality is what it's called. Can you recommend a good one for J3.5 or 3.6?

Yes - in other words each vendor or distributor can log into the site check their sales print their own invoices without the other vendor knowing. Am I correct?

Can you recommend one for either as a standalone for Joomla for any cart or Virtumart 3?

You can experiment with multi vendor setup in VM...  but this is more intended for multi sellers who also manage their own products and sales etc

This is always trial and error issue to find the best solution which fits your requirements + all depends from the budget you have.
I suggest to use Google or Bing first - there is a number of ready to use marketplace solutions available for Joomla or WordPress.
