How to add pagination for subcategories ?

Hi,

I've 2 categories, each countains more than 50 subcategories.
I'd like to add pagination, but nothind is working :

Theses ones seems to be only working for product lists .. and not categories :
vmPagination-> getResultsCounter ()
vmPagination-> getLimitBox ()
vmPagination-> getPagesLinks ()
vmPagination-> getPagesCounter ()

If you have any idea, i'd be relieved
