Non ordeable parent products - Reviews, ordering and concept issues.

Hi

When using non ordeable parents we encounter several issues:


- If you define ordering per sales in VM the parent has no sales and child sales are not taken in to account. Therefore results are not real. This happens with any other type of ordering where the values from the parent are the only ones taken in to account.

- Reviews in parent product, already discussed here http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=129234.0 Again parent product is not sold so is difficult that it gets reviews.

Is a solution to use child review in parent or use parent reviews for all childs? Don't know but I believe something must be changed there.


I don't see an easy solution and just post to bring attention of this way of using parent products which affects other features of VM.

The parent products have no other value than acting as a category holder when used that way and VM should look for values within the childs.
