Is it possible for image to change with each variant selection

Joomla 2.5.28 vm3.0

I'd like to know if it's possible to have a product image change as each variant is selected.
For example:
If I have red, white and blue multi variant options for a product, I'd like the image to change to the color selected. This would need some type of image swap associated with each variant.

Yes it is.

Use Generic child variant or Multi variant. Just assign different images for the Children.
