Multivariants - Parent product always in selection and ordeable

Hi

VM 3.0.10 joomla 3.4.4

The parent product for a multivariant cant be removed from selection box.

To test this I just took a product which was using "generic childs" and removed that custom field and changed it to "multi variant".


I can't find any option to hide the parent from the multivariant selection box, actually the first selecion in backend shows "please choose" but instead the first option is the parent product name which BTW is ordeable, cant find an option to hide it and make it non ordeable.

I tested in beez template with same result.

BTW The parent product has no price set and is ordeable.
