Hi All,

I have a question:

I have an existing website on Joomla 3. It is set up perfectly and working with YOOTHEME (avenue)

I've installed the virtuemart 3 and I've set it up, but I do not like the standard product list/categories/details template of virtuemart. I got myself a beautiful theme (ShopLab 3.1) for my webshop. How do I apply it? I've installed it through the joomla template manager.

Is it possible to have my YOO THEME for my website in general and ShopLab 3.1 theme for my product list/categories/details pages?

I do not want to change completely on the ShopLab theme because my YooTheme is well set up. It is only virtuemart product catalog that I dont like

Thank you very much

It's Joomla!  Assign the Yoo template as default and to relevant menu items, and Shoplab to VM menu items. I use multiple templates on some sites for a variety of reasons.

As well as  assigning the SL template to VM menu items, be sure to assign the template to VM in config/shopfront:   Select the default template for your Shop

Dear jenkinhill

Thank you so much for your help. Maybe i expressed myself wrongly, but that is not what I want.

You can take a look at my shop :http://vertel.byethost7.com/webshop/ .
It is still in phase of development. If you scroll down on the homepage you will see FEATURED PRODUCTS. Currently I've added only one product, just for testing.

What I would like to achieve is that the home layout keep YOO THEME but that the module FEATURED PRODUCTS that shows my featured products look like the virtuemart theme that i've downloaded. (which is more nicer, clean, with zoom featuer , etc, etc)

Is this even possible?

kind regards

In theory anything is possible...  you need to start by transferring the VM "theme" overrides folder to the Yoo one - over writing the Yoo one.. assuming it has one. html/com_virtuemart
Then you would need to correct any css problems and perhaps dependencies that the VM theme needs

Then start on the modules if the vm theme styled them
