Addition to some products

Hello there,

I use joomla 2.5.x and virtuemart 2.6.10.

I have some food cans as products and currently the the product is sold per pallet. I would like to add the ability to users to buy it as one unit. Can i somehow add this ability but only to a specific product category?

If yes, how?

Thank you in advance (i notice that i use vm 2.x.x so i cannot use some helpfull stuff from vm3 - so please suggest something that is compatible with vm 2.x.x.)
