hi. im using latest joomla 3 and latest vm 3.0.9

in my products i use slovak diacritics characters.. but i dont want them in alias.. why vm create aliases with these special characters?? i try all settings..

is this a bug or i had something wrong set?

thanks

jjk

The most simple solution would be to click into the 'Product alias' field after VM automatically filled it using what you entered in the 'Product name' field and change it manually to whatever you want.

On the other hand the url including diacritics is a valid url. Depending on what Slovak people usually would type into Google, keeping the diacritics might be useful SEO.

the first one.. it's really not a solution.. why vm ignore my joomla core setting? (there is a opition to use unicode or not in alias)..
why

and your second "solution" is even worst.. urls like this are disaster for the seo.. once you had a live site with these urls you will know..
there are soo many issues for now..  (use them as links, share in social networks, etc.. )

i think, that you are saying just your opinion..

so..
why you changed this?? it was fine in old VMs... or why you dont let us to decide??

the important setting like all products URLs.. i just cant understand this..
