Hi All,

I have created many stockable variants , however they all show as multiple products, is the best way to solve this by unpublishing variants/child products?
Thanks

HI topknotch,
If you use child  as variant(as in your case) then don't add categories. Only the parent product must have category set.

Hi,

Thanks for getting back to me. I thought that having a child as a variant was the new way of doing variants , especially if you want them to have stock levels?
If that is correct then why would they auto create a category as it is pretty obvious that you wouldn't want them to show duplicates ?
Also as I now have literally 100's of duplicates, I presume that would mean I have to go through each one and change them to no category ?
Thanks

Hi,
You have 2 way to use childrens:
Using parent product as a model for childrens, then you have to set categories.
use childrens has variant, then you have to unset all categories, to only display the main(parent) product and add each variant in main product that you can select the children on using the variant dropdown.
If you need to remove many categories(or batch process products) you can use my product : http://shop.st42.fr/en/products/vm-be-pro-batch-product-edit.htm
