Virtuemart related products / categories

Hello,

Is there a solution for the following:

I have a website which sells candles id like to be able to display other candles from the same product category without having to set up related products. this websites has over 3000 candle products. I have broken down below what I'm trying to achieve.

10 different styles of strawberry fragrance candles assigned to strawberry fragrance category

id like to show the other 9 strawberry fragranced candles out the category on the product page automatically without having to go into each product and setting up related products

I think that you need a custom module to get the current product's category and fetch the rest products.
You can use the current products module as a starting point
