VM3 Safe Path

I've made a folder outside httpdocs (domain.co.uk/private/vmfiles) like it wants me to for the safe path, but its not picking it up. Permissions for the "private" and "vmfiles" are 755. Ami I doing anything wrong? Whats the url line for outside httpdocs? I've got it as /var/www/vhosts/domaingoeshere.co.uk/private/vmfiles/ like it suggests but no luck.

Alternatively how can I stop it saying about the safe path in cart page when paypal is selected?

I am using Plesk 10.3.1 which runs on CentOS for the server

I have written it as required but it cannot seem to find the folder. I have tried it with permissions 777 and 755 and it doesn't work. Is it because it can't go outside of the httpdocs folder?

In admin area I get this error if helps - Warning: is_dir(): open_basedir restriction in effect.
