Hello

I am using latest joomla&vm versions.

I try to translate other product field than name and alias and dont work.I try to set different pics for product delivery and also dont work.
Is here a solution for this?

Thank you

jjk

Do you mean that you can't translate and store for example the product description? If yes, try the JCE editor. Other installed editors for Joomla might not work.
If you want to use your own images for shipping methods, load them into the images/stories/virtuemart/shipment folder. Note that unix systems are case sensitive. So Imagename.png is not the same as imagename.png. Afterwards you should be able to choose the images in your shipment method configuration.

No,product description it works also the url .The others fields dont works ,the fields where appears the language flags and its supposed to be translated.
And other issue is that i can not put different availability pictures for countries.
For example i want to put 1 week for England and 2weeks for Germany.
And also i set some strings and when i put other word near the string remain untranslated.

Example: COM_VIRTUEMART_FIELD1 ......WARRANY

If i put  5year COM_VIRTUEMART_FIELD1 dont translate the string
If i put COM_VIRTUEMART_FIELD1 the string is translated

The 'key' (left) part of of a translation has to be in capital letters and spaces are not allowed. See here:

Is there a chance that customfields become translatable?
Like the product description and product url?

See here: http://docs.virtuemart.net/tutorials/multilingual-store/105-using-language-keys-in-form-fields.html
I wrote that long time ago, but it's still valid for current versions of VirtueMart.

Yes thats what i use now but i want to use customfields that use more words than one and is a bit difficult to use overrides when u have hundreeds of products and thousands of customfields to translate.

jjk

Can you give an example of what exactly you want to translate? If you want to add a custom field "Warranty" to many different products, you have to translate it only once and then select it in the custom fields tab of each product. Then you just have to enter the value for each product. It's similar to this: http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=96758.0

I will give u some examples

Nr 1 (front brakes) Frana fata: 2 discuri hidraulice

I translate customfield name with the mothod u showed me.I can translate the value with same method. But the value is not always the same.

Nr2 (front brakes) Frana fata: discuri duble ventilate de 214mm cu etriere cu 2 pistoane

When u have a lot of products and over 2 languages it means a lot of overrides to make.Thats why i ask if is a method to make customfields translatable.
