Hi All, Virtuemart newbie / Joomla (v1.5.23) Rookie / Magento Allstar... I just currently took over a Virtuemart store (v1.1.9) for a job and just figuring out the basics, have some basic questions...

1. How do I easily change a homepage template layout to a 1 column.
2. Where is the store/index.php (to customize) located, or is everything done through joomla?
3. Is JoomSEF of any value?
4. Do I really change mods, through joomla as well?

They are both dead for more than 2 years

its already up and running, i took it over, im looking to change a few things now, before i start switching it over to magento.

is there a quick way to make a layout 1 column (deleting the left) instead of it being 2 columns?

Are you referring to the layout of the Joomla template, maybe with module(s) published to right or left? Impossible to tell without a url.
