Problem with SEF URLs for products with multiple categories

Hi,

I'm using VM 3.0.6 and J! 3.3.6.

I have products in multiple categories and the following thing happens regarding URL:

For example I have a product in category 'shirts' and in category 'sale'.

1. I browse through category 'shirts' and everything is fine. SEF URL is 'sitename/shirts/productname'
2. I navigate to category 'sale' the product that is in categories 'shirts and 'sale' still point to 'sitename/shirts/productname'.
3. I reload page by clicking 'sale' in navigation bar again and then URLs for the shirt changes to 'sitename/sale/productname'

Is this a caching problem or what could it be?

It is very confusing for customers as when the product is clicked the highlighted navigation point changes and of course the 'back to category' button shows the category user wasn't browsing through before.

Same problem with latest version Joomla 3.4.3 and virtuemart  3.0.9.4
Anyone have a solution or what to check? Been crawling forum and google without clear results?
Working local so sorry no url...any help is appreciated.

Thanks, Pas

I'm not sure, but it might be a problem with the broken Joomla router or the VM router. Both have been updated after the latest stable releases. When I test that behavior with Joomla 3.5.dev version and the latest VM 3.0.10.dev it keeps the selected category in the SEF URL.

Thanks for this info!
But how can I check which file should be replaced and how should this be done?
Is it possible to just replace the Joomla and VM router one by one??

Thanks,

Is this solved?
I have latest VM 3.0.10 and latest Joomla. This problem is still here.
product1 have assigned 2 categories, category1 and category2 (in this order)

I have menu item for both categories.

Url for product in category1 is domain.com/category1/product1-details (this is corect url)
Url in category2 is domain.com/category2/product1-datails (this is wrong)

If this is not solved, is major SEO problem and multi category function is useles.
