When payment is made the status in VM doesnt change to Confirmed

Hi,

As I understand it, when an order is place via Virtuemart the order is generated with a status of PENDING.  Once the user pays via PayPal it should be updated to a status of CONFIRMED. 

This is not happening at the moment so we are having to check every order against PayPal transactions to confirm the order has actually be paid for.

I am guessing there is an easy fix for this but after a lot of searching around I can not find a solution.

Any help would be greatfully recieved.

Both Joomla and VirtueMart versions are out of date and known to be insecure. See  http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=118683.0

Test updates first on a backup of the live site.

You may find that the pending issue is solved in the latest versions.
