Categories display erratically

i'm using version 3.0 of Virtuemart and version 3.3.6 of Joomla.  I have an installation where I've defined 20 categories for 124 products.  I am having an issue whereby the products in some of the categories display differently.  In 10 of the categories, they seem to use a different theme and their information can't be read because of the colors.  Products in the other 10 categories display well with the exception that they're supposed to display 2 products per row.  No products in any category display 2 products per row.  I need help correcting both of these errors.  I"ve made the apparent configuration adjustments that should preclude either of these issues.

I am out of ideas as to what might be wrong.  Assistance is appreciated.

Without a URL it is crystal ball time yet you expect someone to offer assistance???

Maybe you have overrides assign to some categories but not to others.

my apologies.  my url is http://67.43.1.60/~germanrestaurant. I don't see that i have any overrides assigned.  I'm also having trouble getting Paypal to work.  i can't take money.

I think it is a bit much for you to paste your site url and for us to try and hunt through your site looking for problems
At a minimum - urls to problem pages, full explanation of the problems, screenshots if this is relevant

Please forgive me if i posted something inappropriately.  I meant no disrespect nor to be out of order.  I am only seeking help with the Virtuemart portion of my site.  It shows erratically on some of the categories.  I've gone thru and insured, to the best of my abilities, that the category descriptions are formatted the same (with the same set of information).  Exactly half of the categories show with a white background (which is correct), the other half doesn't display that way.  I have a mobile template, but, all categories show tolerably well on my tablet.  BTW, the url of the pages that are errant on the PC is --> http://67.43.1.60/~germanrestaurant/index.php/cakes-tortes.html

this shows okay on my tablet, but, it doesn't show properly on my PC/desktop.

I also cannot accept money thru Paypal on either format (mobile or PC/desktop).  The cart says "No payment selected - Checkout Step 3 - Please select a payment method".  So, i cannot complete an order.  I've done what VirtueMart prescribes for defining a Paypal payment method, but, it doesn't seem to have worked.  This is a Hotjoomla templates template and I'm only trying to get it working properly.

Again, I am only seeking help and I thought that this was a forum for such.  Again, my apologies for posting inappropriately.  I'll seek assistance elsewhere if this is the wrong place.  Please delete this post if it is, indeed, inappropriate.

It is not inappropriate your posting .. it is just lacking any information for anyone to help you..
You work night and day on your site - we see it for 2 mins - therefore if you want help bombard us with information..

IMHO it is nothing to do with categories etc except that something is breaking the html - perhaps an unclosed div somewhere .. because the bad one the div.wrapper is the last div,
it isn't filled so the white background doesn't show, and it is enclosing all the bottom modules and footer

on the good one the div.wrapper is in the flow and closed - the modules and footer appear after that - your template or cat template or pagination needs hunting thru till the problem is found

Paypal:

No payment selected - Checkout Step 3 - Please select a payment method

means the conditions you have set for the payment method aren't being met .. shopper groups, country  .. something
turn on your VM debug to see if anything is obvious
otherwise for a normal Paypal open for everyone most fields in the config should be empty .. no shopper groups etc etc
