Hello I am using joomla 2.5.27 and 2.6.12 vm
I enabled Multilingual and everything works very well ..
But I have some questions that I also found on the forum but I have well understood:
1- products that are not translated are never visible right?
2- products become visible only after the translation in the language specified in the dropdown menu, and only in this case?
3- There is a system to show, however, the product is not translated, perhaps with the words "not translated" or something similar?
4- This is a request than a question .. I have the site in four languages, but if I go in the tree categories, and can not remember which I translated and what not, I need to open each category (the same applies to the products) and control the flags in dropdown menu .. there is no way to enable flags also lists categories and products, so at least you have a clear idea of what you see translated and what does not?

I have a store with many products already, and I would translate them calmly, but in the meantime I'm sorry that those untranslated not see .. and, as mentioned in point 4, there are products that I prefer to translate for example in Spanish, with more time but then I do not remember if I did or not .. if there were flags in the lists or product  (and categories) would be an advantage.

thanks,
zak

You are not the only one battling with this. It seems not managable from the current interface.

We would like to have all products shown when another language is selected, even if the product is not translated.

Besides that, if you do want to translate all products, keeping an overview does not seem possible.

There is a fallback in VM3.0
"For multi lingual stores, we now have a language fallback to the default language for non-translated text"

I'm trying today VM3 (in joomla 3.3.6), gives me error when I try to enter to the component "aio" But it all seems to work fine and products untranslated are visible (amazing!  :D )
I can suggest the implementation of display flags in the list of products to quickly understand what is translated and what is not.
Have a nice day,
zak.

Hi Zak!

I face the same problem even though I am using the latest VM3.0.2!
see my post here:

-> am I missing something?
-> or just because I still running VM3.0.2 on Joomla2.5.28?
