Hi,

Love using Virtuemart.

You guys have done an amazing job and i wanted to post a positive review about it at extension in the http://extensions.joomla.org to let other people know how good this extension is for creating online shops.

When i visit http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/e-commerce/shopping-cart/129 i get the following

This extension has been unpublished for the following reason:

    UR4-Hacks Files

Unpublished Comments From Editors
Replaces/Modifies Core Joomla files.

Anyone know when the Virtuemart extension will be listed on the Joomla extensions directory again.

Thanks
Alan

Funny things happen these days, let's hope it is based on the move of the extension directory to a new server.

03 Nov 2014   All data from the existing site will be transferred to the new site.

Haven't seen any bad core hacks yet.

Please use only stable versions with even numbers for your live shop! Use Alpha versions only if you know what risk you are taking.

Yes maybe you are right, strange how it's only effected the Virtuemart listing in JED.
Will see what happens as it would be good to post a nice review about Virtuemart.
Thanks

Imho the problem sometimes is that the JED folks don't communicate/discuss the details leading to their 'unpublish' decision. The only information the developers receive is an email with the same short 'unpublished' notice you see in the JED. So now the VirtueMart developer team has to ask which piece of code they don't like and wait for a reply from the JED team. Personally I'm not aware of any core Joomla modifications through the VM version listed in the JED.

Just made a test and can't confirm the claim the JED team has made. After installing the latest public version of VM into the latest Joomla, none of the Core Joomla files has been altered.

It was a file we accidently added. But now they say we have to remove the \libraries\joomla\document\pdf folder. It is not part of the joomla core anylonger. But it seems they do not tolerate it there anylonger. We used this location, because it was the old one and it was easier to stay compatible with j1.5.

So we just thought we can release VM3 and now it looks like we have to create an own package for TCPDF and rewrite parts of the core.
Should I fix your bug, please support the VirtueMart project and become a member
