no confirmation email and different message after confirm order

hello, i got two virtuemart problems:

1. if , as a client, have confirmed my order i get a message: U dient minstens één ontvangers e-mailadres op te geven.
thats dutch for something like: you have to give at least one receivers email adress.
not good. beforehand there was: "your order was succesfully sent" or somethiing like that.

2. as a client, and also as a seller, i dont get confirmation mails anymore.
i dont see why. i havent changed the configurtation, and once it was working.

anyone?
