When I've put lets say 10 products to the cart and enter the card, then I can't change the number of products. I can change the number of the products I want, when I click on the arrows to really change the number, nothing happens. Does anyone have a clue why this doesn't work?

Ok, that obvious offcourse.

I'm using virtuemart 2.0.22a, Joomla 2.5.14 and php 5.2.17

I know I have to update the php-version first and after that joomla and virtuemart. But at this moment I'm still have a joomla 1.5 installation on which the live sie is showed. So, I'm a bit scared that when I update this live site gets messed up.

You can see the site at http://bit.ly/1wecpko Ordering is only for registered users. Perhaps I can pm credentials?

You can use vm with php 5.2.17. It will run, we just say it should be at least php5.3.10 for security reasons. vm2.6 does not work with j1.5. Mainly the proxy for the joomla ACL is missing. So if someone has some money for it, we could reimplement it.

But I suggest in your case to update to j2.5.27 and use vm2.6 latest.
Should I fix your bug, please support the VirtueMart project and become a member

I don't know if there my problem begins, but I thought that updating would be a good thing. But when I go to the updatsection in my backend Joomla says it's up to date. How can I override that? Ans can I expect that those updates are helping me?

Your Joomla & VM versions are both known to have critical security issues, so must be updated. See http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=118683.0   And the update may fix your problem.

To update Joomla you will probably have to use the Joomla_2.5.x_to_2.5.27-Stable-Patch_Package.zip from the Joomlacode repository and install it though Joomla's extensions manager.
Also use the extensions manager to install the latest VM - http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=123808.0

Test on a backup copy of your site first.
