How to Customize virtuemart 3

Dear All,

I should appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction as to where I could find information (or step-by-step processes) of how to make customization to the look and feel of Virtuemart 3 without recourse to using themes (that do not seem to translate properly on the Helix Framework in Joomla 3) both commercial and public as many have problems collaborating with the Helix Framework (as I do not want to override that framework with any template etc. as it suits my needs perfectly).

If someone has some assistance eon this question that should be highly appreciated.
