Small Change Request - Add numeric Month to listMonths function

I would love it if the numeric month could also be listed with the listMonths  function which is used for credit payment.

Path: \administrator\components\com_virtuemart\helpers\shopfunctions.php
within static function listMonths.

I have not found a way to override shopfunctions.php or I would not ask for this small code change.
