2 add to cart buttons or all products show as notify me

I am using vm2.6.6 and the stockable variants plugin. I want products that are out of stock to show as 'Notify Me'. However, when I choose this option I have one add to cart button and one notify me button for each product. If I change the option to 'Do not Display Product', I get two add to cart buttons. Please can anyone help? I've attached a couple of screenshots

Change to dynamic child variants. Just exchange in your product the customfield, takes per product 10 seconds.

and actually,.. I think you should directly start with vm2.9.8a. The core is at least 99% stable as the vm2.6.x latest. There is no add to cart button in the category view of vm2, because it can make trouble with customfields, in your case it should work, cause you work with childs. But vm3 is just so much better, imho :-) and a lot faster

Hi Milbo, thanks for your reply. I've just tried the dynamic child variants, but get the same result. Unfortunately I'm stuck with Joomla 2.5 and VM2.6.6 because the site uses an external stock control system and the plugins are specifically for this version. Any other suggestions gratefully received!

I would assume there is something wrong with the logic in your product details over ride template

double check what it is doing

You should stick with the dynamic childs, they are much more robust.

Be aware that vm3 and vm2.6.6 have almost the same tables. Furthermore a lot plugins work directly. Vm3 works on j2.5! you may give it a try.
