Custom fields – add ‘Please select’ to options

 Hi,
Is it possible to create a dropdown selection list but have the first option as "Choose Color"? This would more prompt the user to select a color rather than default to the first value in the dropdown list.
Joomla 2.5.latest VM2.6.
