VM Recent Products and VM Recently Viewed Products

In frontend I don't get any product whenever I choose the option to display recent products or recently viewed products. The only options I get some products in the front page are: Featured Products, Best Sales or Random Produts. I'm using VM 2.0.24c. Any idea on how to solve this problem ?
