Stockable Variants - Different Prices for Shopper Groups

Joomla 2.5.14

I realized that shopper groups don't work well with stockable variants. Basically I can't find a way of making the different prices work for the stockable variants. Has anyone encountered the same issue and come across a solution?

All I want to achieve is assign different prices to child products based on shopper group.
