I have Joomla 2.5.11 and Virtuemart 2.18b.

I have a product which is not available but I dont want to remove or unpublished the product. I want to keep the url active as its doing really good SEO for us. :)

But I have already set the image status to Not available. But is there way to remove add to cart button over that product as well?

no reply or update for this question. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Normally you switch stock control on and set in config "Displays 'Notify Me' instead of 'Add To Cart' button" and set its stock to 0

I have a similar problem. I am selling pieces of art, of which there si only one copy existing. If sold I like to have the painting or drawing still being shown in the shop. The only possibility now is "Displays 'Notify Me' instead of 'Add To Cart' button". I changed the text to "sold", but still there is the link that directs to  the notify form. I cannot find where to disable the link to the notify form. So I would be pleased if anyone could tell me where and how to disable the link. Should be nice to have a possibility added to configuration to display "Show "sold"" when article is not available" anyway.

using VM 2.0.24b and Joomla! 2.5.14 Stable
