Custom fields on VM checkout page ?

We need to add some custom fields to ORDER COMMENTS form section.

Which is the best way to do this ?

I too have this need.  Just need to add a check box - yes or no - and have it sent via email (just like the additional comments.)  Seems straightforward, but can't find anything online to help walk through the process - of making changes across numerous files.

Do you really mean on VM1.1?

Either way it isn't straight forward - it is a number of changes in different files as u say - a lot of people just add the extra field in the users dialog..
