Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_PAAMAYIM_NEKUDOTAYIM

Hi,
I am a new user  of virtuemart.  I created a Joomla site  (Joomla version 2.5.14)   on my hosting provider , i downloaded  com_virtuemart.2.0.22_extract_first.zip  in my computer , extracted it to get the 2 zip files and then using Joomla administrator I went to the extension Manager I pressed Browse button in Upload Package file  box , chose the file com_virtuemart.2.0.22.zip from my computer and pressed Upload & Install.  The next thing i get is the following message
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_PAAMAYIM_NEKUDOTAYIM in /home3/nickosl5/public_html/joomla2.5/administrator/components/com_virNtuemart/models/updatesmigration.php on line 303

  I would be grateful  if somebody  could help me !!   Thank you very much.
