SSL certificate problem error
« on: August 17, 2013, 08:54:44 am »
My site is J 1.5.26 und VM 1.1.9

When ordering a product it will be placed in the shopping cart. When going to checkout, I get in the second step (choosing the delivery) following error message:
Fehler: SSL certificate problem, verify that the CA cert is OK. Details:
error:14090086:SSL routines:SSL3_GET_SERVER_CERTIFICATE:certificate verify failed

If going on with the checkout process, I can order the product. However, I think customers will be irritated by the message.

So is there a chance to fix it, or to eliminate the message?

Can anyone help?

Thanks.

P.S. Hope it is in the right forum. If not, please move.

Most likely a host/certificate issue. The server certificate is invalid, either because it is signed by an invalid CA (internal CA, self signed,...), doesn't match the server's name or because it is expired.

Thanks for your reply and the link.

I checked the link, but I am not so knowledgeable to understand the complete issue.

Also, I never had any SSL certificate and the provider says it is not a server/host issue. They claim it has something to do with the software. That's why I came here.

I really need this going.

Maybe it would be possible to eliminate the error message through modifying the code in VM, so that it is not displayed?

Thanks.

Maybe my URL helps: www.slickfold.com

It happens in the checkout process, when the options for the delivery method are displayed.

Thanks for all help.
