Site search doesnt't read VM product metadata

My site search (not VM) shows VM products using the product description but not any metadata. It does however show articles by metadata. VM shop search shows products by metadata if used. How can I get the search to show VM products including the meta data? An older post on VM mentioned the "enabling the Extended Search Plugin" (vmxsearch.plugin). How are things handled now? I checked my Joomla search modules/plugins but didn't see a setting to change.Thanks!

Yes. Metadata meaning meta keywords and meta description.

I'm personally not sure that it's necessary to make metainfo searchable. But if you wish you could try some custom VM extensions in 3rd party forum or in the JED.

Thanks. My reason was let's say I had a DVD or CD with a message on safe relationships. I have a description of course, but suppose I don't use the words "divorce, toxic, abusive, intimacy or sex" . However, if anyone searches my site to see if I have something on those words they would be referred to the Safe Relationship title.

Did you try 3rd party VM custom extensions which are able to product tags for products?

Just looked in VM Extensions but didn't see one unless you can name one I overlooked.

Use forum search button: check 3rd party VM2 section, search query 'tags'.
