I've been chasing this problem for a while now and can't seem to find a straight-forward answer.

I need to have Images in the Custom Fields, which are selectable instead of having the image and a radio button. I don't want the radio button, I find it confusing.

For example: Product A has three color variants. Red Blue or Black. I have created small color icons, and currently they show correctly, but in order to select red blue or black, you have to click on a radio button. I need to be able to click the image icon, instead.

Thanks.

Hi

Just hide the radio with css

Hiding the radio button with css, would not make the image the input field for selecting the choice.

Use VM for working with Product Colors stuff.

Anybody could select picture on product administration web page.

This picture could be personal color of current product.

And, no, I don't mean using standard product images.
