Hello:

I have virtuemart 2.0.22b installed on windows server 2003, running joomla 2.5.14.  everytime I try to update through the virtuemart updater, I get an invalid token in store error.
I  downloaded the zip files, extracted the contents, and when I run the extension install option I get 'error uploading this files to the server'.  I have full access to all folders on the server.

attached are screen shots of the install error.

any help would be great.

General advise - Use real web hosting environment. More stable web shop development you will have in general too.

wow.  if i wanted smart ass answer, then I would have not even submitted the question..

I understand the linux would be a better environment than windows, but I have to solve the problem on windows.
been running for a long time under windows, this is the first time I've had a problem updating virtuemart.

so if you have no advice then don't even reply...

anyone else have the intelligence to provide assistance.

@chrisapollolims abuse of any forum member here is very unwelcome and unacceptable.

If you researched this forum you will see that users are advised to use Joomla's extensions installer for upgrades rather than the Akeeba live updater included in VirtueMart. The Akeeba based updater just cannot cope with the file formats used in VirtueMart 2.0.22c+

I must be missing something..  I've read the different forums regarding this issue and  I've tried using the joomla extension installer to upgrade to virtuemart 2.0.22e.
when I use the joomla extension installer and point to the zip file that was extracted from the original zip file, I get the error ' error uploading this file to the server'

I can upgrade the virtuemart AIO zip file no problem.

so the question remains.  what do I need to do to get the install to work properly?  can I manually copy files to the various folders or is there something that has to be done behind the scenes.

If you don't have enough upload memory configured on the server then the zip file will often fail. Use the targz package instead in those cases as the package size is smaller. Use com_virtuemart.2.0.22e_extract_first.targz.zip  http://dev.virtuemart.net/projects/virtuemart/files

thanks for the help..

it seems that the server team updated the php version and did not set the upload file size correctly.  I increased it to 4m and was able to complete the install..
now running 2.0.24
