Hello all
I have a little problem with a virtuemart installation. The site is multilanguage and when I try to change the description in either language it doesnt change in the front end.
I tried to reinstall virtuemart (I havent uninstall it because I have many products) but with no luck. I update it recent and fixed the tables from virtuemart but still no luck.
Can someone tell me what to do?

I have joomla 2.0.10 and virtuemart 2.0.20b

are you changing it in your vendor? (when you look at your user in vmart users/shoppers)

are you set as vendor?

rippergr

I am trying to set it as administrator (Super user)
I don't understand what do you mean by vendor?
Can you give me instructions?

go to

virtuemart administrator

Left Menu:
Orders & Shoppers
Click Shoppers

THEN, search for your user.

Then, check the box, AT the top of the page you will see   "Is a vendor", by the save button.

After you are set as vendor, go into your user, and add the details you want

rippergr

I tried that but no luck. I am attaching two images to see the problem.

I did that but the description is not changing.
Is there a way to change it from database?

what happens when you click save?

rippergr

It saves it normally without error as you can see in the previous image but in frontend it doesnt change anything.
Can you tell me what is the table which the frontend description is saved to, so that I can check it there?

are you using multilanguage?

have you tried with a standard joomla template?

are you using multi-vendor?

rippergr

Yes I am using multilanguage.
When I switched to a standart joomla template beez2 or beez5 the description disappeared.
I don't know if I am using multi-vendor. If you mean if I checked the multivendor tab then no it's unchecked.
Can you check my website to see if the description shown there it is from virtuemart or (maybe) from something else

I've got the one part of the problem.
It was my fault. I remember it yesterday when I told you to check the site maybe the description is from elsewhaere and then I searched inside the template and saw that I had it hardcoded inside the template.
The original problem was that whatever I write in vendor it's not shown in the start page of virtuemart which still remains after I deleted the text
