Availability text field

VM 2.0.18

Availability field (product details) displays only the first 30 characters. In the administration of VM (Availability text field in product details) can be entered unlimited text. But after saving the text that is over 30 letters erased. On the product details page is visible only the first 30 characters. I need to write in this field long text. Where can I set that?

why not use "string" custom field?

because its faster. But maybe this will be the only solution...

thats the way the database is set. nu could change the default, but it would go back as soon as you update
