I have exactly the same issue. It's terrible. The standard Joomla registration works but isn't sufficient for the VM registration. THe first problem was, to get a Vm compatible registration form. For that I found the plugin KC VM Registration Redirect which redirects the registration-Button to the VM-Registration. This works fine so far.

But then:  After VM registration form has been completed and send out, a registration e-mail was sent to the user and the admin.. so far ok. BUT then, once the confirmation link in the E-mail has been clicked, the start page from my Joomla website comes up and taht's it  :'( :-\ :-[ >:( >:(

Looking into the user management from Jommla and from Vm then this newe user has benn created but NOT activated/enabled !!

Until now, after long searches and readings in this forum and in the Joomla forum I can't find any ideas/solutions.
See also the quite older posting from August 2012 with the same issue but without any responses: http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=106645.0

But the most frustrating thing here is, that a lot of postings concerning registration issues in this forum got no any answeres since many months !!!!!

exakt das gleiche Problem. Welches gleiche ?

Weisste was echt scheisse ist? Was wirklich richtig scheisse ist?

Should I fix your bug, please support the VirtueMart project and become a member

Hi!
Found this thread and think I have this problem too. When users get the email with the confirmation link it doesn´t work, it just shows the site frontpage.
The link is like this: http://sitename.se/index.php?option=com_users&task=registration.activate&token=nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

But if I ad www before the sitename it works, like this: http://www.sitename.se/index.php?option=com_users&task=registration.activate&token=nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

I se some mentions about something called htaccess and other stuff about domain handling but I don´t really understand what I shall do to fix this or what I should ask my hosting.
So I hope someone can explain this to me slowly and clearly in people language and not dev language :-)

Thank's!
