Product Download Plugins for VM2

We developed these download plugins for use on our own site, mainly because we did not find the extensions available in the 'official' Virtuemart Extensions to be suitable for our site. We are happy now to release these under a GPL license.

Both are implemented as custom plugin fields.

It includes the following useful features:-

   

• Downloads can be restricted either by number of downloads or time period - or both;
• Download entitlements can be edited for individual customer orders, for example you can increase the number of downloads a particular customer is entitled to;
• Download restrictions are applied to the custom field not the downloaded file, so you can change the file, for example, if you want to release a new version;
• Download security, customers  are not able to download anything they are not entitled to.

The free download plugin is available (as a free download) http://www.spiralscripts.co.uk/joomla-plugins/spiral-free-download-plugin-for-virtuemart-detail . It allows you to insert a download link on your product page. Downloads can be restricted to registered user only, or particular shopper groups, making it suitable for a subscription site.

Hi

This was posted oct of last year, i'm wondering does this works on VM 2.0.20b? and on how many domains can i use your plugin? is this limited to one domain only? i'm looking for one that i can use with my clients current site and for future clients too..

There is no restriction on domains.

It does work on Joomla 2.5.11 and Virtuemart 2.20b
