Price Zero with price variant for attributes
« on: July 06, 2012, 21:59:45 pm »
I am trying to create a product in VM 2 with a base price of zero but the product has four option with cart variants. Basically I want the item to not display a price until one of the options is picked. Actually picking an option will need to be required. If I put the price in as zero, the add to cart button and the dropdown with the options does not display. I've tried setting a price at .01 and doing a price override, but this discounts the price to zero even when one of the options are chosen.... it just makes the discount larger.... which is not what I want.

Basically, I'd still like the add to cart button and dropdown to show with the "Cost Price" at zero. This way the dropdown for the options still display.

Any ideas?

Was there a solution to this? I'm having the same problem, but only after upgrading from 2.0.12d to 2.0.12e.
