links in http articles to https part of site don't switch
« on: September 08, 2012, 02:18:16 am »
I currently have a issue where the front end of my site is in http until I go to my shop which is https. When I make an article on the http part of my site that has a link to an item that is on an https part of my site it doesn't switch from http to https, which in turn makes the add to cart button not work. here is my site url so you can have a reference to what I am talking about http://www.lynnhiles.com . if you click the button that says click to order paperback it doesn't switch to https. but if you go through the menu button media books it goes to https. any ideas?

Is a Joomla issue. Set your Joomla editor (eg TinyMCE) to use absolute rather than relative urls. You may also need to switch to html view to add the "s".
