404sef Redirects -

I understand that one of the goals of this product is to reduce duplicate URL landing pages...  So I read a post that stated if you have sh404sef installed with virtuemart and the following category structure:

mysite.com/Category-A/ProductA and
mysite.com/Category-B/ProductA

that sh404sef will attempt to create a single URL landing page for both.  I get the concept, but how does one get around confusing the user when he sees that his breadcrumb path has changed.

For example: If a particular part is used in two different Laptop models, A and B..  ...and the user was browsing model B, clicked on the common part, the chance exists that it will redirect to that part in Model A and his breadcrumbs would now confuse him.

This looks like a great product, but before I use it, I want to be sure this will work for our intended purpose.

URL Canonicalization is primarily meant for choosing the best url among the likely served landing pages. But you are asking about different products with the same category, in that case url canonicalization is not necessary.
