"Shop without a cart"

A client has asked me to create a "On line store without a checkout" - but with the ability to integrate one later.

Can I set up vuirtuemart with the checkout off. And if so would I still need to enter shipping and price information?

Well - you can use the store in catalogue mode... is that's what you meant?

That sounds like it might be exactly what I am looking for. Will look up catalogue mode and see what I can find!
