i keep trying but the shopping cart only set one cost for postage and if more products are added to cart the postage cost does not go up all the products have there own weight and the postal rates have been set the same but no matter what i do the price does not increase
does anyone have any idea how to make it work?

I think it is because of cookies. Anyways try clearing that and try.

sorry but i am talking about when customers place orders there shopping cart  does not add there total postage up only the 1st rate?

colin136, you need to provide more information.  Specifically, which version of VM, which shipping module(s) you are using, the configurations of the shipping modules, and any other pertinent info like an example of product weights you've tried.
