Virtuemart category module layout alternatives

Hey, im using a standard virtuemart category menu module to display the virtuemart categories on my site, and until now i have had them in listed in a column from top to bottom.

However, im changing the layout of the site, and i would like the VM category module to display the VM categories on a line/row, and not in a column. From left to right, not from top to bottom. Does anybody know how i can do this?

You will need to modify the CSS to create the Horizontal menu you want but apart from that it is great!
