VM Search Results Problem

Search results work fine when using VM search module with the Category filter off. As soon as I turn cat filter to on, Page 1 of search results is OK but when clicked Pages 2, 3 etc shows no products (even though pagination appears to show correct number of pages)

How else can I filter search results in Category view

None of the boxes in Config/SEO section are ticked because when I tick them I get no results at all.

Any suggestions
