(Product) Image metadata management

I would like to be able to add meta data to image files, e.g. EAN Code, description, metadata keywords. Especially for VM product images. The metadata should be crawled by Google Images search. The goal is to end up higher in the google image list when a product is searched using google image search.

How could this be done?

That is called the alt text, which is there, yes

I believe the Alt text is used for blind people, and for situations where the image isn't shown. Further more it is not Multilingual. I beleive there should be a multilingual metadata field.
